Stepping out of one’s routine of being strong and not seeking help can be stressful. It requires discipline and focus on not settling with traditional patterns or mantras.
The feeling of defeat for being vulnerable or asking for assistance can seem like a hindrance. My goal is to minimize those thoughts in our work and process together; to provide a safe space that can protect thoughts and doubts as we work on a journey of healing and understanding.
Feeling like you may be unheard or unaccepted in certain spaces and places can cause feelings of anxiety, depression, and mistrust. Sometimes we feel as if we are supposed to continue our journey with those feelings on our backs while still striving to remain progressive and functional. As a counselor, I am excited to provide my clients with encouragement and be a representation of being in that space, and flourishing through it. There are means to grow in fulfillment without being held back with troubling barriers. I love the process of challenging anyone to accomplish goals that seemed unattainable.
With those challenges, I seek to find the glowing aspects of my clients and collaborate with solutions to ease the pains of any grievances and focus on being better and stronger in all capacities. In order to do this, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and ambitions while unwinding any detriments in your healing path. I value the counseling relationship to divulge in comfortability that brings joy and betterment in aspects to the center.
My passion for youth has continued to grow not only for their academics but for their social and emotional well being. I can look at the whole person and have more understanding. My experiences have challenged me to step out of the educational realm and into a world of service in therapy. I come from a place where counseling was not seen as a resource, so my job is to reframe that thought for all. When I am away from counseling, I spend as much time as possible with my family. I find joy in experiencing new places to travel to and new experiences to cross off my bucket list.
