A few things about me that I think are essential for you to know. I’m prior military, so at times I can come across as rigid and straightforward. I can be a matter of fact and can get straight to the point. But I am also a yoga teacher and can provide you with a safe space to show up without judgment. I’m not afraid of silence, so if you want to sit and not talk, we can do that for as long as you want. I am uniquely myself in that I am a counselor, Veteran, and yoga teacher all in one. Because of that, I am not for everyone. Let me know if you feel after the first session that we are not a great fit.

My work focuses on working with males who struggle with sports performance, sex addiction, Veterans, anger issues, self-destructive behavior, ADHD/Autism, self-sabotaging, and relationship issues. I work with males of all ages, from adolescents to adults, because I believe that men need other men to give them a safe place to show up how they are.

As a Veteran, I see the importance of how the stigma around mental health may make you less likely to reach out. Just know my door is open when you are ready.

Everyone’s path to healing is different. I prioritize a holistic approach to counseling, focusing on the mind-body connection with a trauma-informed perspective. Together we will set goals and expectations of what your unique journey will look like. I may equip you with skills, or we may dive into what brought you to me in the first place.

I don’t believe that counseling is an overnight fix. The counseling process is an ongoing and continuous thing that takes hard work and is unpleasant at times, but I can assure you that if you stick with it and you continue to come and work, you will than yourself later.
