Many of our greatest wounds happen in the context of relationships, and yet relationships can also be deeply healing and life-giving. It’s my hope that therapy can be one of the healing examples in my clients’ lives. To that end, I strive to create a space where clients feel safe enough to share their story and, through it all, feel seen and known. Clients can expect me to bring genuineness, warmth, and authenticity to sessions in a way that invites them to do the same.
My approach to therapy is integrative, holistic, and relational. I’m passionate about equipping clients with the knowledge and skills to help them learn, grow, and heal. It's important to me to work collaboratively with clients to discover what they need based on their goals and values.
In general, I believe that our past experiences shape us and continue to influence us, and because of this, I find great value in exploring how the past is present. To move towards healing, it’s important to gain awareness and insight into the patterns and behaviors that keep clients stuck and no longer serve them well. When they approach these behaviors with curiosity, compassion, and understanding, true change can take place.
I work with clients who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma in a way that's not only impacting their view of themselves but also their ability to find wellbeing in relationships. In addition, I enjoy working with teens and adults on more specific issues related to perfectionism, people-pleasing, codependency, relationship dynamics, sports performance, and sports injury.
Under the direct supervision of: Dr. Laura Land LPC, LPC010913
Every issue looks and feels different for each person, but some common struggles can be feelings of guilt, shame, resentment, fear, unhappiness, overwhelm, indecision, not being good enough, or vulnerability. No matter the issues, my heart for all clients remains the same, which is that they would be able to live more authentically and wholeheartedly with a greater capacity for joy, connection, hope, and resilience.
It’s an honor to be able to sit with clients on their own healing journeys as they discover and explore more of who they are and who they hope to be. The decision to start therapy can feel overwhelming and stressful, and because of that, it takes a lot of courage to give it a try. Thank you for considering starting this journey with me!
A little bit more about me personally- I grew up in a very sports-oriented family, and I played basketball competitively for many years. There were times where I struggled with burnout and the overall stress of being a student athlete. Eventually, when I stopped playing, I had to figure out who I was outside of sports. This is partly why I’m so passionate about working with athletes on their mental health.
Poet Walt Whitman wrote, “I am large, I contain multitudes.” I love how this quote resonates with my personal experience within sports and how it’s true of all people. Humans are complex, and we are never defined by just one thing. We can honor ourselves by learning to hold space for all of our complexities and identities. So, in addition to being an athlete, I’m also a middle sister, an aunt, a dog mom, an avid reader, a baker, a podcast lover, an introvert and a people person, a Brené Brown stan, a therapist, and more.

SPORTS PERFORMANCE COUNSELING:
For all athletes, ages 14 and up, I’m currently offering a structured program designed to enhance performance through mental skills training. To be successful in sports, athletes must train their minds alongside their bodies. Mental training helps athletes perform more consistently, find the zone more often, overcome injuries or challenges, and learn how to thrive under pressure.
Over the course of 5 sessions, clients will identify the fears, thoughts, and beliefs that are interfering with performance, and they will learn skills and strategies to increase confidence and improve performance. For more information, schedule a free consultation with me!
