MEET CASSIDY

Hi! My name is Cassidy, and I’m a licensed associate professional counselor. I work with teens and adults on issues with trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, sports performance, sports injury, depression, and relationships. I’m a trained EMDR therapist, and I utilize a combination of approaches in my work, including person-centered, attachment-based, psychodynamic, polyvagal, internal family systems, and CBT.

One of my main goals within therapy is to be a steady, genuine presence and to foster an environment that helps clients feel comfortable sharing all parts of themselves in session. It is my hope that through the process of therapy, clients will become a healthier, more authentic version of themselves.

If there’s one thing you should know about me it’s that I think Brene Brown hung the moon. I am such a huge fan of hers! Her work on the power of vulnerability came into my life at such a critical moment and has been an inspiration for how I approach my life – in pursuit of authenticity. More than that, her work on wholehearted living has been the inspiration for my work as a counselor and what I hope to see manifested in my clients. This quote from Brene sums it up: “Wholehearted living is about engaging in our lives from a place of worthiness. It means cultivating the courage, compassion, and connection to wake up in the morning and think, No matter what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough. It’s going to bad at night thinking, Yes, I am imperfect and vulnerable and sometimes afraid, but that doesn’t change the truth that I am also brave and worthy of love and belonging.

When I’m not with clients, you can usually find me reading, baking, working out, watching my favorite sports teams, or playing with my sweet rescue dog Reese!
